It has also approved the University's bid for the sponsorship of Research on Harnessing Sargassum Entrepreneurship Development in Coastal Fishing Communities in Lagos State.
The Research, according to LASRIC, would be championed by Distinguished Prof. Martin Anetekhai, a professor of Fisheries in the University and honourable member of the LASRIC.
The Research is expected to cover programmes like Community Sensitization, hosting of International Conference by the LASRIC.
It is also expected to ensure submission of report,
Development of animal aquaculture, snailery, rabbitry, community training on
collection, processing and utilization of Seaweed and by-products and the
set-up of Centre of Excellence in Lagos State University.
