Dr. Arodiogbu made the commendation while speaking at the recently held APC Southeast Stakeholders meeting which took place in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
The event which was held in the International Ecumenical Centre saw prominent stakeholders of the party from the various five south East States converge at the venue which had in its attendance the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Abdulahi Ganduje, Deputy National Chairman SouthEast, Emma Eneukwu and the Deputy National Organising Secretary, Nze Chidi Duru.
The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu, alongside a former governor of Ebonyi State and current Minister for Works, Senator David Umahi and the latest entrant into the party, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim who officially defected yesterday graced the August gathering.
The two governors within the party's fold, namely Governor Hope Uzodinma and Governor Francis Nwifuru, the host were also in attendance.
A number of Senators and House of Representative members too such as the likes of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah were present.
The meeting which commenced by 2pm, saw the Zonal National Chairman , Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu welcome those in attendance with a speech which highlighted a number of positives for the party in the zone.
Arodiogbu, who was not oblivious of the present day situation in the country yet urged Nigerians to bear with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu whom he said was keen on fixing the nation's socio-economic cum socio-political issues noting that there would be "light at the end of the tunnel"
He also highlighted the achievements of the zone under his stewardship which did include the continuous mobilization of members by the party in the various states which had seen a number of stalwarts decamp into the party's progressive fold; the improvement on information dissemination via the creation of a website, (www.southeastapc.com) and the establishment of a magazine as well as the improved channels for interaction between the party and its members in the Federal Executive Council, federal government appointees and the members of the National Assembly which had given the zone a better understanding of certain policies and actions.
Thanking the governors of Imo and Ebonyi states, Arodiogbu noted that the duo had been very supportive of the zone's activities but wanted the duo to do more for the party in terms of ensuring that party faithful within the zone were adequately rewarded, particularly by getting these members appointments into a number of agencies and parastatals.
Arodiogbu finally
announced the zone's intention of correcting the mistake of 2023 by ensuring
that the party wins the forthcoming Anambra Guber polls, stating that all hands
were on deck to actualise such after which Abia and Enugu would also
follow.
