Umenzekwe salutes Nigerian workers, commends their doggedness

Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Hon (Chief) Modestus Umenzekwe (Onwa Achina) has saluted Nigerian workers for their doggedness, perseverance and hard work despite the nation’s economic challenges.

He also commended the workers for their steadfastness despite all odds.

Umenzekwe made the commendation in his May Day message to Nigerian workers, on May 1, 2024.

He said, “I want to wish the Nigerian workers well, and I also encourage them to persevere no matter the condition because the Federal Government of Nigeria, to the best of my information, is working assiduously hard to make their working condition better. The President is doing something about their demands; the committee set up to look into the minimum wage is working.”

Umenzekwe appealed to the Nigerian workers to eschew any act that is inimical to growth and development. “So let them eschew any act of disobedience, violence or industrial action. The Federal Government of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu under the Renewed Hope Initiative is working seriously to make them happy.”
