Lagos House of Assembly congratulates Tinubu

Success Damian:
The Lagos State House of Assembly has said the state is lucky to have a populist leader in the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen. Bola Tinubu.

In a statement issued on Thursday by Mr. Tunde Braimoh, Chairman, House Committee on Information, Publicity, Strategy and Security. “The Speaker, Rt-Honourable Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, Honourable Members, management and staff of the Lagos State House of Assembly felicitate with our Leader, father, mentor and tutor; the trailblazer and pathfinder Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the auspicious occasion of his birthday.

We are indeed lucky and happy as Lagosians to have an icon and enigma of Asiwaju’s caliber as our progenitor, who as the architect of modern Lagos, laid the structures for the new beginning.

“The ideological tenets of welfarism , populism , egalitarianism and progressivism which Asiwaju not only professes but religiously practices are getting further entrenched and accepted in the political curricula of Nigeria .

“His approach of politics without bitterness, objectivity and analysis of issues without extraneous considerations of class, creed, race or religion has endeared him to not a few Nigerians,” he said.

Braimoh prayed God to advance him further in wisdom, health, wealth, ability and agility to do more for the nation.
“As Asiwaju renews his resolve to invest more in people, may God the Almighty renew His grace and blessings for him,” he said.

Woman conceives 23 years after first child

After 23 years of waiting, endurance, scavenging for fruit of the womb and ceaseless prayers, Elizabeth Dena was finally blessed with a beautiful girl and he shared her experience with SUCCESS DAMIAN:

Operating a restaurant at Moyosore Shopping Plaza, Bolade, Oshodi in Lagos, the calm-looking fair skinned Elizabeth Dena from Benue State, a Tiv by tribe does not appear stressed up as one looking for a child. His first child, now 23, has completed his university education and is working.

She said her inability to have a child for a very long time was not as a result of any family planning, but God’s design. She said:

“All this while I always visit Air Force Base Hospital for medical check-up; they checked me and ran a lot of tests, but found nothing wrong, Later  I started taking herbal medicine, still nothing. I just stayed and prayed to God. The only thing I always did was that I went to church every Tuesday at Saint John’s Catholic Church in Mafoluku.

However, 2016 December, when I went to church, I knelt down and prayed and I asked God, if my womb is still open, give me a child of my own.
When the pregnancy entered I did not know. It has entered five months before I knew I was pregnant.

Elizabeth said her husband did not disturb him for one day, “We were only praying to God and God answered our prayer. Now, he is very happy, very very happy.”

Born in September, 2017, Blessing, the baby girl is now six months old and the mother said she wouldn’t mind if God gives her another child.

On her advice to people that are in situation of barrenness, she said, for women that has not born, you should believe in God, there is nothing like God. In my own case I prayed and God answered my prayer. They should pray to God with their heart and God will hear them. I did not give money to pastor, I did not jump from one church to another, but I got my miracle in the Catholic Church.”

Elizabeth further stated that “It was God that kept the child because at first it came as infection and a nurse charged me N28, 000 to flush it out. After doing the flushing, my condition worsened, I resorted to herbs, that one nearly killed me
.
“One morning I was outside my shop and I was sweating profusely, and one of my nurse friends was passing and saw me, she stopped and asked me what happened. I told her and she said Elizabeth, don’t you know you are pregnant? But I dismissed it as a common joke. Another day she was passing and still saw me in a very bad condition, and she said I should come inside and she brought out a syringe and took my blood.

“In the evening she came back and produced a laboratory result that said I was five months pregnant.

“From there we went to Air Force Base and while I lied down for medical examination, the child came out from the back and entered the womb and started kicking.

“The child hid at the back of the womb all this time I did flushing and taking all manners of herbs. If not it would have been washed away. Thank God.”
