Primate Ayodele begins 17 days of appreciation & philanthropic impacts, visits sick people

The Leader Of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has kicked-off a 17-day appreciation and philanthropic impact on Sunday, 29th Of January till Tuesday, 14th Of February, 2023.

Many of his church members had a first-hand experience of the prophet’s philanthropic impact yesterday, Sunday, which marked the beginning of the programme. A good number of youths in the church choir were empowered, surgery fee was paid for 25 people, accommodation fee was paid for 20 people and every member of the congregation were given food items.

Today, Monday, which is the second day, Primate Ayodele visited old and sick people in Lagos communities with money, food items, clothing materials, and many more. He also prayed with them and settled some of their needs.

The old people couldn’t hold their joy as they passionately hugged the prophet and showered prayers on him for his rare philanthropic act. The very jovial prophet was also seen cracking jokes and playing with some of them just to lighten up their moods.

Till February 14, Primate Ayodele will be visiting several places, institutions, organizations to show gratitude and impact people with cash gifts, prayers, words of encouragement, food items, to mention but a few.

This is not the first time Primate Ayodele will be engaging in such philanthropic acts; every 14th of February is a day dedicated for his annual thanksgiving and it has been his culture to engage in massive philanthropic acts on days preceding the D-day.

Every February 14 for Primate Ayodele is always the mother of all empowerment. In recent years, the man of God has given out cars, tricycles, thousands of GCE/JAMB forms, scholarships, accommodation fees, school fees, sewing machines, beds, food items, among a host of many others.

Osun State NCP rejects backdoor alliance with any party

National Conscience Party (NCP) Osun State Chapter, has stated that it is not in support of backdoor alliance with any political party in Nigeria.

Their position was made public in a press statement signed by Comrade Gideon Fasorepo, NCP Chairman, Osun State, and the Secretary, Comrade Ademola Bankole.

The State chapter decried the purported meeting called by Dr Tanko Yunusa whose tenure has since elapsed, they stated that the former chairman lacked the locus to convoke such a meeting without the consent of the NEC/NCC. “It came to our attention that Dr Tanko Yunusa called a meeting in Abuja recently and tagged it NEC/NCC meeting on the 21 - 22nd of January, 2023 at Abuja under the auspices of our party, National Conscience Party (NCP). The former chairman of our party (Mallam Tanko Yunusa) hosted the meeting despite lacking the authority to convene such a meeting without the consent of the NEC/NCC.”

“We reject any backdoor alliance with any groups of individuals or political parties. All alliance meetings and endorsements of candidates should be routed through the proper channel for dialogue and not through compromising ways. We equally do not accept all appointments and committees created during the said emergency meeting. We believe they are not in line with the constitution of our party.

“We, as a chapter, are fully focused on getting justice on the pending case at the court and having a convention afterwards,” the release stated.

The group said Tanko’s action is both uncalled for and compromising to convened such a press conference for the sole purpose of announcing an alliance with another party and endorsing their candidates for the forthcoming elections all in the name of the party, without the proper knowledge of the NEC/NCC members both at the National and state level. “We believe this is totally uncalled for and compromising the principles and tenets of the foundation of our party.”

The release stated further, “In light of available facts, it is to the best of our knowledge that Yinusa Tanko's tenure as the chairman of our party expired in 2020. However, since the INEC directive to deregister the party (the case is still pending in court), another convention hasn't been held to elect a new chairman and other positions of the NEC. That makes the leadership of the party remain with the bonafide NEC/NCC members of the party and not the unidentified group that purportedly met to hold an emergency meeting in Abuja.

“To the best of our knowledge in the Osun state chapter, at no point in time did the recognized leaders of the party call for any meeting with the agenda of forming an alliance with another party or even endorsing a candidate. And neither did Mallam Tanko Yinusa convene any message of any meeting of the party to NCC/NEC Members in Osun state to date.

“Therefore, we believe the so-called meeting was done in secrecy and thereby lack any substantial basis. With no official correspondence or invitation sent to our office in the Osun state chapter, we wish to state categorically that we do not support any decision or resolution made in the purported meeting as we believe the meeting was held with no interest of our dear party but for personal gains. We consider all decisions made at the purported meeting null and void. No such decision is acceptable to us.

Kanayo takes Nollywood to Adem Complex, joins Umenzekwe as they urge Nigerians to get their PVC

Movie Star and Co-founder of Nollywood, Kanayo O. Kanayo, has joined well-meaning Nigerians including the President and Chief Executive Officer of Adem Industrial and Commercial Complex, Hon (Chief) Modestus Umenzekwe in the call for Nigerians to collect their Permanent Voters Card (PVC).

The duo made the call when the Nollywood Maestro and his team paid a courtesy visit to the business mogul in his office in Lagos on Friday, January 27, 2023.

Kanayo was at the complex to specially thank the management of Adem Complex for granting his group access and permission to shoot their film in the business arena.

Kanayo also thanked the management of Adem Complex for granting one day holiday to the traders in the market in order for them to go and collect their PVC, adding “It is most important, we must do the one that made us human beings; it is a Civic responsibility. Nobody knows who will win the election, but we must do our own.”

He said out of those who started the Nollywood industry in Nigeria he is the only only one that is still very active.

Kanayo, a Lawyer who goes by his Mbaise traditional title of Ihe Mbaise jiri ka mba, while speaking to Journalists said “Today we are in Adem Industrial & Commercial Complex with the consent and permission of President and Chief Executive Officer of this place, Hon (Chief) Modestus Umenzekwe (Onwa Achina) to continue what we have been doing over the years; that is the production of movies. And this particular movie is of note because it has to do with nwa boy, the Igbo apprenticeship system.”

Kanayo stated that Igbo people are a hard-working and industrious people. “Ndigbo are hard-working and industrious race. There are two major systems through which the Igbos help their brothers, the first is the concept of onye aghana nwanne ya (being your brother’s keeper) and mgba mbo (the concept of hard work). It is when we came to Lagos that we see some Igbo people begging for money, an Igbo man does not beg for money, it is a thing of shame in Igbo culture and tradition. No matter how bad things are, Igbos don’t beg for money, they don’t beg money on the street. When you see an Igbo man begging for alms, look at him very well, either he was born in the market square or there are some psychological abnormalities,” Anayo stated.

He thanked Umenzekwe for granting his group permission to use the complex “We use this opportunity to thank Hon. Umenzekwe and members of his executive, we also thank those who are watching what we are doing. May God bless you all.”

He spoke on the theme of the film. “When we are done with the film, my people will bring the film here to show you the result of this our effort. This film tends to promote and project the spirit of onye aghana nwanne ya and igba mbo, that is being your brother’s keeper and the spirit of industry and hard work.

“You see, the nwa boy system, where Ndigbo are doing business, works this way, when a man starts business, he brings boys that will be assisting him in running around and selling goods for him, after some years he settles that group, the next group will now come in, after, another group, then the ones that have been settled will go and bring other boys too, and it goes on like that. So it is a system of empowering people so that they would become somebody, through this way, those boys will know the intricacies of the business and life generally,” Kanayo elucidated.

In his response Chief Umenzekwe thanked Kanayo O. Kanayo for finding the Complex worthy for the film production.

He said Ndigbo are grateful to the Lagos State Government. “We started here at the twilight of Asiwaju Government, he handed us to Fashola. Fashola was extremely good to us. He never collected a dime from us. When Fashola left, Akinwumi Ambode came in, and then Sanwo-olu. There has not been any problem, if there is any problem at all, it is from our own people.”

Umenzekwe decried a situation where an igboman would be fighting his fellow Igbo man in Lagos State. “Why should an Igboman fight an Igbo man in Lagos, you see situations where our people were going to court against their fellow Igbos.”

He thanked Dr. Alex Ekwueme of blessed memory who was of immense assistance when the Adem Complex was being acquired “We must thank an appreciate Dr. Alex Ekwueme, when we were having problem here we went to him, he said go, so far as what you are doing is genuine, he would help us. And he did it. Our people still came with intimidation. Then we went to Ebitu Ukiwe, and he also helped us.”

Umenzekwe said the Yorubas are friends of the Igbos, and thanked them for being receptive to other ethnic groups. He also called for respect for every Nigerian irrespective of tribe. “I must confess they have been good to us. But the Igbos must not be taken for granted, if it happens I will shout,” Umenzekwe stressed.

He thanked Kanayo for raising the demand for release of Nnamdi Kanu, “Thank you for raising the call for the released of the detained freedom fighter, Nnamdi Kanu, I have also made similar demand for the government to use political means to release him.”

Umenzekwe while appealing to Kanayo to help build alaigbo also called on Ndigbo to get their PVC and to make sure they vote on the day of election. “That is the only way we can participate in the political affairs of the country.”

He stated that he belongs to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and he is proud of that. “I am inclined to APC and I don't hide it, through this party I have done a lot for Ndigbo, I train my people, one day I will leave this place, and one of them must take over this place. I must leave this place for good.”

In the end the General Secretary, Mr Chukwuemeka Nzekwe thanked Anayo O.kanayo for coming to the market to shoot his film, adding that the purpose of their coming would not be defeated.”

Leadership is given by God, says Umenzekwe as Jandor visits Adem Commercial Complex

President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Adem Industrial &Commercial Complex, Coker, Lagos State, Chief Modestus Umenzekwe (Onwa Achina) has stated that leadership is given by God.

Umenzekwe was speaking in his office when the Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran popularly known as Jandor visited the Market on Friday, January 27, 2023, in continuation of his grassroots, door-to-door campaign.

Umenzekwe said “You see leadership is given by God, that we campaign from here to Jericho, from Jericho to Jerusalem, it is God that will definitely say, this person will be the governor; and if we have that at the back of our mind, the sky is our limit.”

Umenzekwe who described Lagos as a mini-Nigeria, spoke on a wide range of issues including his call for special status for Lagos in the national budget ‘This period is a very tough period in the country and in Lagos State. I keep saying that Lagos is a mini Nigeria, I have written on it, I have said it and I am repeating it again, and anybody that is capable of handling Lagos is capable of handling Nigeria, and we are happy to have a young man like us aspiring to be a governor of Lagos State.”

He thanked Lagosians for being good hosts to visitors. “I must confess that in as much as it is not a bed of roses, but I must congratulate every indigene of Lagos State for what they have done for visitors, every indigene of Lagos State, I must congratulate all of you, because Lagos is a state that accommodates everybody, this is a state you come and do your business, this is a state you come with nothing and you are going with something.

“This is a place most of us buy land, build without undue harassment or whatsoever. Apart from whoever that may be governor, if Lagosians are hostile to us, you know it will not be possible, and that is why I have written and appealing to the national assembly to please, give Lagos State Government a special status in the budget. In a place where you have a population of over 20 to 25million the pressure is much, traffic pressure, human pressure and all that, so Lagos State deserves a special status in this country, if Lagos collapses, this country has collapsed, whether you like it or not,” Umenzekwe stated.

Umenzekwe who praised the current government of Lagos stated that the major problem confronting the commercial complex is the issue of area boys, “It is not all that bed of roses, even though the government of the day is trying, but we still have some challenges, issue of area boys is a problem which we must fight headlong, once we are able to stop the activities of criminals to the barest minimum, have a better business environment, the sky is our limit.”

Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (Jandor) commended the Igbos for being the goose that lay the golden egg of the economy of Lagos and that they deserve better treatment, saying that the government of PDP will do better.

He said that even though Lagos accommodates visitors, the same Lagos has not done enough, adding that the current status of Lagos as the richest state in Nigeria would not be possible without the contribution of Ndigbo in Lagos.  “We thank you for thanking us we Lagosians for accommodating you. Yes the narrative is that we are very accommodating, but we still believe that all the harassment that happen to your market in Lagos, in Alaba, in Ladipo, in ASPMDA, everywhere shouldn’t be so because the contribution you make to our economy via all these markets, the status we currently have as the richest state in Nigeria would not happen.

We believe we have not done enough and that is what we are coming to correct if we come to power.

“I know that even as an Igbo man if you decide to take all these your wealth or contributions to your state, that is where the market would go, people are coming here because they know you are here. So we must protect that, we must protect you because you are like the goose that lays the golden egg,” Adediran stated.

He continued “You see, for too long, I am sure our government has seen you as second class citizens in this Lagos, but we assure you that we will get it right if we are voted into power. We know that you want a Lagos that your children will be seen as one of us, a Lagos nobody would say Omo Igbo Oshi, a Lagos that nobody would not allow you to exercise your franchise, a Lagos nobody will tell you that there is no PVC because you are an Igbo, that is the Lagos that you want and that is the Lagos we are bringing if we come into power. We will do better and I want to apologise on behalf of the government of the day because I know they have not done well the way they are treating you.”

Jandor maintained that there is every need to protect the Igbos in Lagos because they are very enterprising people “If you are running an economy you look at places where the money is coming from and what they need to do, is to protect those places, you make sure you give them facilities that will make their business to continue to thrive, but are we seeing that in Alaba and other markets where the Igbos do their businesses? When the containers are coming in, I am from Ojo Local Government, I know what the business people face that place.

“As I was coming to the market I saw my people loading and offloading, that is you creating jobs, so if I frustrate you or Igbo people I have taken away this source of livelihood from my brothers, even as little as they think you are given them, and this is something that is playing out in our state here.”

He said it is one of the reasons he wants to go round and meet the real people, because they wear the shoe and they know where it is pinching them.

Adem Industrial and Commercial Complex leaders who were present during the visit include the General Secretary, Mr Chukwuemeka Nzekwe; the Public Relations Officer, Mr Raymond Eze; Assistant Secretary, Mr Innocent Eze; the Acting Chairman, Security, Nze Augustine Umenzekwe; the Taskforce Chairman, Alhaji Hakeem Lawal; and an Executive Member, Chief Felix Ezenwakpadolu.

Lagos State rejects adoption of Peter Obi as NCP Presidential Candidate

Lagos State chapter of the National Conscience Party (NCP) has distanced the party from endorsement of the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.

In a release signed by Fatai Ibu-Owo, NCP Chairman, Lagos; and Kemi Olagunju (Mrs), Acting Secretary, Lagos distanced the Lagos State Chapter of the party from the action of the estranged national chairman of the party, Yinusa Tanko.

Tanko and his group recently endorsed the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, as the candidate of the NCP.

The release read “We have been alerted by the so-called press conference held by Yinusa Tanko, the estranged Chair of our party, the National Conscience Party (NCP) and a handful of notorious elements noted for corrupt and unprincipled stances on all issues, (rented crowd), endorsing the candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi and dragging the name of our party along.

“We want to state that Yinusa Tanko (who has actually gone awol from NCP affairs since 2018 and whose tenure has expired since 2020) has only displayed what is expected of a desperate prodigal whose only stock in trade is to trade with politics at the expense of principles,” the press statement read.

The group said that the NCP is one of the oldest parties in Nigeria and it is on record that the party led the struggle for opening of the democratic space in 2001-2002. It was founded and led by the late Chief Gani Fawehinmi, adding that NCP was founded on a socialist ideology.

They said Gani Fawehinmi all through his life fought anti-people demagogues like General Olusegun Obasanjo, but today Obi and Datti are loyal kids and mentees of OBJ.

“Meanwhile, we want to state that Tanko Yinusa never convened any meeting of the party at the NCC or NEC levels. The jobman has since abandoned the party after his moving into CUPP jeopardized our membership and allowed INEC to have the effrontery to deregister NCP. Those wasting their millions on Tanko's endorsement are only deceiving themselves.”

The group in the release made their stand known, saying “We the real and active Vanguards of NCP wants to note as follows, the purported meeting he called was supposed to be called by the national general secretary. He didn't carry the General Secretary along because of his personal ambition. As a member of NCC Lagos is not invited to the purported meeting likewise Ogun, Osun, and Ekiti.

“Over 95 per cent of the people who attended are not NCP members; the issue of endorsement was not on the agenda of the meetings, he never involved any member especially those in Lagos state chapter; He adopted Obi just the way he did in the Atiku alliance in 2019. He collected money from Obi. He paid the transportation and hotel accommodations of some unknown guys masquerading as NCP members; We don't want him as our national chairman again. He has violated the Constitution of the party. He is now the spokesperson for Obi while still the Chairman of NCP. This is in contravention of Article 3, Subsection 3.5 of the NCP Constitution which is expressly clear on Anti-Party Activities”

The release went further to say “Lagos Branch of NCP has since rejected Yunusa Tanko as the Chairman as his terms of office has lapsed since 2020; therefore, the endorsement is not for the party but for Tanko alone. He should go and refund Obi's money. NCP is not endorsing Peter Obi. We will never endorse an enemy of the people. Gani Fawehinmi's party will never endorse Obasanjo's candidate, and all decisions taken at the purported meeting are null and void.

The group said “We urge all Nigerians to know that the National Conscience Party (NCP) wants a new Nigeria that is built on socialism, and it's centered on an economy that cares for all, and not the few billionaires. We are vanguards of the unity of all oppressed people, and we are happy today that we are strongly on ground to prevent any rogue from throwing the name of Gani Fawehinmi and our dear party into doldrums. Those who have hijacked the Labour Party (LP) from workers and think they can use the name to curry favour from Progressives should go back to their sleep and dream again.”

LASU 88th Inaugural Lecture: Prof Yusuff advocates documentation of biographies of women leaders

Professor Olabisi Sherifat Yusuff, a Professor of Sociology, Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences of the Lagos State University (LASU) has advocated the documentation of biographies of women leaders in Nigeria.

Professor Yusuff was speaking as the 88th Inaugural Lecturer of the Lagos State University which took place at the Buba Marwa Auditorium, Ojo Campus on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.

The advocacy was part of her recommendation from her lecture titled ‘Gender Equality Is Equal to What? What Do Women Want? What women should want from the TRIADS in Nigeria.”

He stated “Biographies of women leaders should be properly documented and kept for reference for future generations. If the activities of women leaders are not documented, there is every likelihood that the coming generation might not remember their activities and not have role models to read about or look up to.”

She also acknowledged Lagos State University’s intervention in the Creation of Institute of Gender and Development Studies, saying that the vision of the institute should be a point of reference globally as an outstanding institute for gender and development studies.

She said the institute should be a degree awarding institution “The institute should be an award degree institute in Gender and Development Studies. The institute will be able to bring different areas of knowledge to current issues. Inclusive approaches and a greater array of data – quantitative and qualitative – are needed to broaden and deepen our understanding of gender issues in order to inform policy and practice. The Institute will explore how gender studies/analysis is necessary across numerous disciplines and how the institute will be central to the transformation toward greater sustainability, equality, and social justice.”

Professor Yusuff said decreasing violence against women and girls requires a community-based, multi-pronged approach, and sustained engagement with multiple stakeholders, adding that campaigns that are meaningful such as the use of drama should also be used to create awareness on the health implication on Gender-based violence. “University should continue to provide the needed environment and opportunity for scholars to conduct research that would be significantly beneficial to humanity.”

She stated that addressing gender-based violence in universities and research organizations is a crucial endeavour, as it will enable a better, evidence-based, and robust understanding of the magnitude of the issue with its various forms and expressions, which in turn creates a baseline for effective policies and measures to be implemented by the organizations. She said “Addressing gender-based violence in universities and research organizations also increases the capacity of staff and students to combat it.”

Interestingly, she said, strategies for elimination of intimate spousal violence cannot be achieved unless they are also rooted in culture. She said though the process may be slow, the change should start now, adding that it is not an individual task. “It is a collective one which should be approached from multifaceted perspectives. Most importantly, with women themselves to socialize both the girls and boys on inherent dangers in domestic violence.”

Professor Yusuff also added that men's partnership is required in addressing issues that hinder women's political engagement, including structural barriers, discriminatory practices and violence that prevent women from exercising their right to vote. She said that discriminatory institutional practices and laws that prevent women from being recruited, nominated for standing for office, or getting elected should be reviewed. Also, institutional discrimination against women in office resulting in their not being appointed to head committees where they can have influence against violence, sexism and harassment against female candidates and female elected officials, and negative gender-based stereotypes perpetuated by the media should be investigated.

Further, the inaugural lecturer stated that Men can help lead the change with women in enacting legislation that promotes women's rights, repealing laws and policies that discriminate against women and limit opportunities. They can also support the advancement of women in decision making bodies by advocating temporary special measures. In political parties, men and women can work together to champion women's participation including nominating more women.

Referring to Africa generally she said. “In Africa, most women's jobs are informal. As a result, they are not covered by labour relations laws, have no minimum wage and no social protection, no maternity benefits, and no old-age pension. Ultimately, it is important to bring new light and resources to the informal sector, strengthening social services, upholding women's rights and breaking access to barriers will not only make economies work for women but will also benefit societies by creating a more sustainable future for Africa.

In making further recommendations the erudite Professor said efforts in correcting the anomalies should involve total grassroots Involvement “More women and men reside in rural areas of the country. These are the areas where female marginalization, oppression, discrimination, slavery, and other obnoxious discriminatory practices such as inheritance rights, are still practiced by many Nigerians. However, about 98% of these evil practices are not reported. Therefore, everyone, whether in the rural areas or in urban cities must be involved to unmask the evil of gender discrimination in the society,” she said.

The Inaugural Lecturer called for the involvement of religious leaders as they are veritable agents of information dissemination. “Religious leaders should be carried along in the move for change as they can provide a veritable avenue for the dissemination of the idea. Federal, state, local government and traditional rulers who are the custodians of culture, nongovernmental organizations, men, and women, are all needed to achieve the necessary change against the high-level discriminatory practices on women's land inheritance and ownership. It may not be easy considering that in the final analysis, the issue has to be legislated upon and passed into law, and most of the legislators are men with their inherent biases.”

She also spoke about her contribution to knowledge saying “Upon my resumption as Acting Head of the Department, I constituted Quality Assurance Committee. The term of reference of this committee is to see that all graduate papers either seminar or defense go through the committee irrespective of who supervised the work. This has standardized the graduate projects. During my tenure as Head of the Department, post graduate seminar attendance improved significantly. This has helped the academic standard of the department.”

She added “In contributing to Gender and Development in the Faculty of Social Sciences, I developed curriculum on Gender and Development studies for the undergraduate students. We hold Gender Workshop annually where series of gender issues such as sexual harassment, Reproductive Health Issues, Economic Empowerment of students, the concept of friendship with male lecturers among other gender issues were discussed,” among other scholarly efforts.

Earlier, Prof Yusuff said that the work she was presenting were empirical works through quantitative and qualitative approaches that spanned over two decades and shed light on the status of women in the 21 century, and it gives recommendations on how gender equality space in developing countries can be advanced by confronting the TRIADS of Patriarchy, Gatekeeping and Women's Poverty in Nigeria. Hence, the title of her inaugural lecture.

Synopsis of Primate Ayodele’s fulfilled prophecy on Tinubu’s Presidential ambition

By John Obuchi:

The pretense has been on for a while that all is well between President Muhammadu Buhari and the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu but the cat was let out of the bag yesterday when the latter made an outburst against the former.

Tinubu, at a rally in Ogun state yesterday expressed the pains he is going through in the hands of the present government despite being the national leader of the party. He lamented at the recent policies of the government and described them as ways to sabotage his victory in the February 25 presidential election.

These were his words

We will use our PVCs to take over the government from them. If they like let them create fuel crisis, even if they say there is no fuel, we will trek to vote. They are full of mischief; they could say there is no fuel. They have been scheming to create fuel crisis, but forget about it. Relax, I Asiwaju, have told you that the issue of fuel supply will be permanently addressed.

“Let them increase the price of fuel, let them continue to hoard fuel, only them know where they have hoarded fuel, they hoarded money, they hoarded naira; we will go and vote and we will win. Even if they changed the ink on naira notes. Whatever their plans, it will come to naught.’’

The tone and the choice of words used only spell out one thing which is BETRAYAL. Before making such huge allegations as these, Tinubu must have seen the handwriting of betrayal on the wall, just like it happened before the presidential primaries of the APC.

There is a popular Yoruba saying that says ‘Oro agba ti ko ba se l'owuro, a se ni ale’ which means The words of the wise, if it's not fulfilled early enough, will surely come to pass, no matter how late; Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been warned about all of these since 2016 by popular Nigerian prophet, Primate Elijah Ayodele. This was even when He had a smooth relationship with President Buhari, He had free access to Aso rock and was always seen with the president then.

In an interview session with journalists in 2016, Primate Ayodele who is known to speak ahead of time made it known that Buhari will fight Obasanjo and Tinubu in the long run. Though, Obasanjo’s issue is just by the way but it’s been fulfilled too.

These were his words

‘’Buhari has a good mind to rule this country. It is just like Jonathan had a good mind to rule this country but the people around him ruined his government. So, President Buhari is good but people around him will teach him a lesson. It is not that he doesn’t know how to act. There are things that will happen. You will see the scripts as they unfold. And Obasanjo and Buhari will fight. Buhari and Tinubu will fight''. (https://www.nigerianeye.com/2016/04/buhari-will-fight-with-obasanjotinubu.html)

At that time in 2016, no one would have thought that one day, President Buhari and Tinubu would have issues but what ordinary men cannot see, God always shows his prophet. It’s been seven years since the prophecy was made but it has now come to pass.

Primate Ayodele released another prophecy in 2020 that looked like an update of the one he gave in 2016. He categorically warned Tinubu to forget about 2023 because he will experience failing health and that President Buhari will dump him.

These were his words

‘‘Tinubu should take care of his health before his ambition for President. His health might crumble. Who says his health will still be standing by 2023? He has not done the right thing. Also, Buhari will dump Tinubu. He won’t support his cause. Buhari won’t give enough moral and physical support.” (https://theeagleonline.com.ng/primate-ayodele-to-tinubu-take-care-of-your-health-forget-presidential-ambition/)

For everyone that read the prophecy in 2020, even if they didn’t believe then, it is now very clear that Primate Ayodele spoke according to divine revelation. Shortly after this prophecy, Tinubu embarked on a medical trip for three months and now, President Buhari is obviously not giving him enough physical and moral support just as the prophet said three years ago. President Buhari has only attended a few presidential campaign rallies so far. In a video shared yesterday, the president was also heard asking Nigerians to vote for any party they want without even mentioning the APC or Tinubu. This is an obvious proof that the president isn’t supporting Tinubu’s cause, fulfilling Primate Ayodele’s 2020 prophecy.

Again in 2021, Primate Ayodele warned again that he doesn’t see Tinubu’s political reign exceeding 2023. He mentioned that some of the people he refers to as ‘political sons’ will rise up against him.

These were his words

“I don’t see Tinubu’s reign in politics exceeding 2023. The plans to take over power from him are underway and almost perfected. His ‘boys’, those he trained politically, will betray, backstab and rise up against him.’’ (https://dailypost.ng/2021/09/05/tinubu-boys-will-betray-him-his-political-career-will-not-exceed-2023-primate-ayodele/)

When the prophet made this statement, APC had not held its presidential primaries and there was no indication that the vice president, Prof Yemi Osinbajo who is a ‘graduate’ of Tinubu’s political school would show interest in the presidential race since his political ‘teacher’ had made his intentions known. Fast forward to months later after the prophecy, the VP declared for presidency, rose against his ‘boss’ and stayed in the race till he lost the ticket to Tinubu. Until now, The vice president is yet to openly declare support for Tinubu’s presidential ambition, likewise others that passed through Tinubu’s tutelage in politics.

In 2022 again, Primate Ayodele advised Tinubu not to put too much strength on his presidential ambition because it will not see the light of the day. He even told him to return to Lagos because he may be betrayed in the state if he isn’t careful.

‘’’He has not seen anything, he better not put too much strength on the presidency rather he should return to Lagos if not, they will still betray him in Lagos.’’ (https://newswirengr.com/2022/04/12/2023-osinbajo-didnt-betray-tinubu-karma-playing-out-primate-ayodele/)

Primate Ayodele continued with these warnings to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2023 and mentioned that he will face a last-minute betrayal from the north and people within his party.

These were his words

“I don’t see any past leaders supporting Tinubu’s ambition. I foresee Northerners betraying Tinubu and the people within his party. People who are close to him will also betray him.’’ (https://independent.ng/primate-ayodele-reveals-how-tinubu-will-be-betrayed-in-2023/)

For some days now, some members of Tinubu’s PCC have been withdrawing their participation, he doesn’t seem to enjoy the acceptance he got when he declared his intention. President Buhari, being the president and a northerner has so much power in selling Tinubu to the north but he clearly isn’t doing that, which is surprising.

It’s been seven years since Primate Ayodele has been talking about Tinubu’s presidential ambition and if there is one thing that has always been constant in the prophetic messages, it is betrayal and lack of support from President Buhari; these have all come to pass already.

Expulsion: NCP National Deputy Chairman, South-South, to sue Mallam Tanko, Labour Party Spokesperson

The Deputy National Chairman (South-South) Zone of the National Conscience Party (NCP) Pastor Peters Omoragbon has concluded plans to take legal action against Mallam Tanko Yunusa, the National Chairman of his party and Spokesperson of Labour Party.

Omoragbon made the disclosure at an Emergency Zonal Meeting of the South-South Council of NCP which was held on Tuesday, January 24th, 2023, via Virtual Zoom Platform.

The meeting’s agenda was to review the decisions and resolutions at the just concluded National Consultative Council (NCC) meeting of the Party which was held in Abuja on January 21 and 22, 2023 and take a position on them; review the roles of individual members from the Zone that attended the NCC Meeting; set up a Disciplinary Committee to investigate the roles of item 2 above and present appropriate recommendations to the Zonal leadership for consideration.

Speaking during the meeting, Omoragbon said, “I have informed my lawyers to sue Mallam Tanko and his cohorts like Barrister V.C. Odumejemba and Mrs Funmi Adebola for defamation of character and unconstitutional expulsion as arrowheads of the conspiracy.”

The decision to sue Mallam Tanko was not unconnected with the purported expulsion of Omoragbon by the National Consultative Council (NCC) of the party allegedly spearheaded by Mallam Tanko.

Recalled that Pastor Peters Omoragbon and other well-meaning stakeholders of the party recently called on Mallam Tanko to not only resign his position as the National Chairman of the party but also his membership of the party as he cannot be the Chairman of the National Conscience Party and at the same time the Spokesperson of the Labour Party.

The zone maintained that the purported expulsion of the National Deputy Chairman, South-South, in the person of Pastor Peters Omoragbon from the party would not stand as it did not follow due process.

They also criticised the appointment of Mr Godwin Umana as the Acting DNC South-South; the removal of Comrade Lateef Adebola as Acting General Secretary and replacing him by Barrister V.C. Odumejemba, saying that the action of the NCC of the party amounted to illegality, hence of no consequence.

The Zone insisted that the NCC cannot act as a Prosecutor and a Judge in their case against Pastor Peters Omoragbon who was neither invited to defend himself at any point nor availed a copy of whatever report the NCC may have relied upon for their hasty, illegal, and unconstitutional acts in Abuja on January 21 and 22, 2023.

Primate Ayodele’s prophecy on Tinubu, LGA Chairman, Somalia, US shootings, others fulfilled

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church has continued to build on his relevance in the prophetic ministry with fulfilled prophecies. Giving out prophecies isn’t what makes a prophet but the fulfilment of those prophecies; Primate Ayodele is indeed a prophet.

He released his 2023 prophecies in December 2022 and as it stands, about fifty of his prophecies for the new year have been fulfilled already, just in the first month of the year. This is a huge feat that one can’t easily come by, It’s rare and that’s just enough proof that Primate Ayodele’s prophecies come from the throne of Heaven.

In addition to his other fulfilled prophecies, Primate Ayodele is being celebrated again for foretelling some of the events that have happened around the world in the last few days.

They include:

1 Tinubu’s Betrayal: Primate Ayodele has been very active in the political scene of Nigeria especially now that the country is about to hold an election. He serves as a prophetic voice giving all candidates advise and one of his warnings to the candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is betrayal by the north. The man of God made this statement severally both in videos and in writing. These were his words ‘’ “I don’t see any past leaders supporting Tinubu’s ambition. I foresee Northerners betraying Tinubu and the people within his party. People who are close to him will also betray him.’’ (https://independent.ng/primate-ayodele-reveals-how-tinubu-will-be-betrayed-in-2023/)

In fulfilment of this, there have been reports flying around that the north are planning to betray the APC presidential candidate and this is also evident in the resignation of some of his campaign council members. In Bauchi yesterday, his campaign ended abruptly when power suddenly went off without coming back on. This is definitely Primate Ayodele’s prophecy coming to play.

2 NAHCO Strike: Yesterday, aviation workers went on strike, grounding activities at the Muritala international airport. Primate Ayodele in his annual prophecy book titled Warnings to the nation 2022/2023 edition revealed that airport workers will go on strike in the country. This can be found on page 62 of the prophecy book and these were his words ‘’ Some airport workers will go on strike including some airline staffs’’.

3 Death Of LGA Chairman: It was a sad mood yesterday when unknown gunmen beheaded the local government chairman of ideata north after kidnapping him. Primate Ayodele still in Warnings To The Nations 2022/2023 edition forewarned this. On Page 22, the man of God categorically mentioned that they should pray against kidnapping of a local government chairman and attacks. These were his words ‘These local governments must be careful Unuiomo, Oru west, Orlu, Ohaji/Egbema, Obowo, Nwangele, Njaba, Ngor Okpala, Isiala mbano, Ihitte/Uboma, Ideato South, Ezinihitte, Ehime Mbano, Ahiazu Mbaise and Aboh Mbaise against kidnappings of any Local Government Chairman and against attacks’’. Sadly, it came yesterday.

4 Train Derail: Two days ago, there were reports that a warri-itakpe train derailed and left passengers stranded in the forest. Primate Ayodele had warned about this in his 2023 prophecies which was released last December. On page 25 of the 78-page prophecies for the new year, he mentioned that the nation needs to pray against another train mishap. These were his words ‘’Let us pray against another train attack, train mishap that will kill people and for all the trains not to break down or stop unexpectedly’’

5 US Shootings: It’s definitely not a pleasant moment for the citizens of the United states of America as mass shootings have been taking place since the year began. Just yesterday, another one took place claiming several lives. Primate Ayodele in a video uploaded on his social media page towards the end of last year mentioned some countries including the USA that should be careful of shooting in the new year.

‘’Germany, Israel, USA must be careful against shooting. I am hearing gunshots and they must be very careful, it’s not a terrorist attack but they should watch out for this’’. Sadly, it has come to pass.

6 Somalia Bomb: There was a bomb attack at a government office in Somalia a few days ago that led to the death of some civilians. Primate Ayodele had warned in his prophecy book long ago that he foresees an attack in Somalia by terrorists. On page235 of Warnings to the nations, he mentioned that the government should work against the attack.

These were his words

‘’The spirit of the Lord revealed to me that there will be terrorist attacks in the country. The lord says the security agents must be at alert in sensitive areas in the country. The attack will claim lives’’. Just as he said it, it has been fulfilled.

Cameroon President, Paul Biya facing consequences of ignoring Primate Ayodele’s prophecy (VIDEO)

President of Cameroon, Paul Biya has been in the news for some days following the unpleasant scene he created at the US-Africa leaders’ summit.

Paul Biya who is hardly seen in public surprised many at the summit when he started behaving strangely; He was led to the podium to deliver a speech but forgot about the place he was. He was heard asking his aide that led him to the podium about where he was.

He clearly had no clue about where he was at that time and kept on staring at the speech written for him while passing gas in an unpleasant manner in the presence of leaders around the world.

While this is quite unfortunate, it is the fulfilment of Primate Ayodele’s warning which he gave in 2022 regarding the Cameroonian president. Primate Ayodele in a viral video uploaded on his tiktok account advised the president to step down because he will be incapacitated. The man of God categorically mentioned that the president’s trouble will start from dementia into other life threatening illnesses.

These were his words

‘’I am seeing that the Cameroonian president, unless he resigns, the country will not move forward. The country is about to break but don’t allow it so it won’t cause war. What I am telling the president is he doesn’t understand the government anymore and his people and military are angry. The minority are in pain, resources are not flowing, the country isn’t doing well. You have spent too much time in the position, why not take your time to do the right thing before the country begins to have problems? Before your health begins to have problems? You will start with dementia, Cameroonian president will have dementia disease….’’’

What Paul Biya suffered at the US-Africa summit is dementia because it has to do with easily forgetting things no matter how important they are. Paul Biya flew from his country to the venue, was aware of the summit but when it was time to deliver his speech, he totally forgot everything, pronouncing how bad his dementia is just as Primate Ayodele forewarned

There is no doubt about the fact that Primate Ayodele spoke from the throne of heavens when he gave this warning but the president didn’t listen; this has led to a global disgrace for him and the nation.

Some other presidents were also warned by the man of God especially in Africa and this is a wake-up call for them to listen to Primate Ayodele’s prophecy to avoid suffering the consequences just like Paul Biya. If Paul Biya had resigned as president, he would not have been at the Africa-US summit not to talk of his health challenges surfacing on a global platform.

However, there are other parts of the prophecy that are yet to be fulfilled; the military are yet to show their anger and of course, if the president still continues to ignore Primate Ayodele’s advice to resign, there may be a military uprising in Cameroon.

Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat are in action for greater Lagos, Umenzekwe …Urges Lagosians to return them for 2nd term

Writer, Philosopher, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and member, Federal Housing Authority (FHA) Chief Modestus Umenzekwe (Onwa Achina) takes a critical look at Lagos and passes a verdict that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Olufemi Hamzat are in action for greater Lagos. He said that they are tested, versatile, and competent saying Lagosians should vote them in 2023.

How do you describe Lagos, its development and its present leadership?

Lagos as you know is the most important state in Nigeria, not just because of its vibrant atmosphere and friendly ambiance due to its coastal location, Lagos houses close to 25million people; a cosmopolitan state for that matter. Lagos is beautiful and no state in Nigeria can be compare to it, not even Abuja with all its political paraphilia. You see, Lagos is home to two international seaports, Apapa Port and Tin Can Port; it is home to two Airports, the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, and the Lagos Airport. The state hosts the best roads and bridges in Nigeria. The best infrastructures are found in Lagos. No wonder, while some states in the federation are just celebrating construction of their first pedestrian bridge, Lagos has stopped celebrating commissioning of bridges, it is taken for granted because they are now too many. Let me just stop here. Lagos is full of architectural masterpieces that is the envy of fellow countries in Sub- Saharan Africa.

With approximately $30billion GDP and $2,174 Per Capita, Lagos state is not a small state. Last year December, the Lagos State House of Assembly passed a total budget of N1.768 trillion for 2023. Last year also Lagos targeted a GDP of over $100 billion in her 30 years development plan 2022-2052, what are we talking about. A leadership that has managed this volume of economy deserves everything. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Olufemi Hamzat are in action for greater Lagos. I don’t think we have any need to change a winning team, we don’t want a political neophyte as governor, we want a team that will sustain what it has started for another four years.

As a forward thinking Governor, Sanwo-Olu and his team also approved the Lagos State Wealth Fund (LSWF), and Civil Bills, which he said would be sent to the state house of assembly for passage into law. The LSWF is a signal of the commencement of the state’s sub-sovereign green bond that will create sustainable wealth for the government and the residents. According to the governor, the fund will allow the state to create a wealth reserve that will be instrumental to delivering infrastructure and preventing Lagos revenue from external shocks and making the state a technology and investment hub. He added that LSWF would bring development as it is the first sub-national sovereign wealth fund in Africa, thereby joining Singapore and Canada which have similar wealth funds and had gone on to do great things with it.

Lagos is headed by great minds and Sanwo-Olu is no exception, your view

Administratively, the state is constantly headed by great minds, from Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Babatunde Raji Fashola, Akinwumi Ambode and now Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his team, these people have held this state together. The state has metamorphosed over time into a giant status of top economy in the world becoming the sixth largest economy in Africa due mainly to political, economic, social and administrative sagacity and ingenuity of the state governors and their deputies, including the present governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his Deputy, Olufemi Hamzat. In all, these people built the peace you and I are enjoying in Lagos today, the enduring legacy, the structures, the infrastructure, the superstructures, all of them are the manifestations of the visions and missions of these great leaders of this great city that never sleeps, a 24 hour economy.

It is high time we started talking about the beauty of this state that accommodates millions of people which is more than the population of many African countries put together. Indeed Lagos has a lot of aura surrounding it and this aura include economic opportunities, security, education, entertainment, receptiveness to the high and the low in the society.

There is peace everywhere in Lagos, what do you think is the magic?

The state government is not joking on the issue of security. The state makes sure that the State Police Command is well equipped with necessary operational logistics, this has helped the police and other sister security outfits to be effective and efficient in their various bits. The people can now sleep with their two eyes closed.

With the serenity and tranquility provided by safe and secured environment, aside the agricultural potentialities of the state, people from different states of the country come to Lagos with food produce of various kinds, hence there is available and cheap agricultural produce in the state, making Lagos one of the cheapest states in Nigeria talking in terms of food availability, its coastal location is also of great advantage. Because of security commercial activities thrive in the state.

Do you think continuity in terms of leadership of the state has played key role in the incremental development of the state?

Lagos has everything that makes a beautiful city, from the well tarred roads to having some of the longest bridges in Africa, if not the longest, the Third Mainland Bridge. Are you talking about the Eko Atlantic City? A mainly commercial and administrative Smart city where life is on 24/7. Of course as you know, this is the brainchild of Asiwaju Tinubu and has been sustained by Fashola, Ambode and now Sanwo-Olu. We talk about the Blue/Red Rail, this is designed to facilitate faster transportation of goods and persons; are we talking about the Lekki Free Zone? An investment hub; the Dangote Refinery, the Second Lagos Airport coming soon at Lekki, Fourth Mainland Bridge has also been awarded. Ikoyi and Victoria Island have remained the effigy of Lagos State; Ikeja, Amuwo-Odiofin, Ajawo, Festac, beautiful estates continue to spring up in nooks and crannies of the state making the city an Eldorado of Africa not just for the residents but to tourists and visitors.

To keep Lagos safe, secure, developed, respected, there is need for continuity of the leadership of the state. In every aspect of society engagements or communal association, there is always the need for continuity, and that is exactly why Lagos has continued to be making steady progress, following the developmental blueprint spearheaded by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and implemented religiously and assiduously by his successors, the Eko Atlantic City project and Pen Cenema Road/Bridge project are instances of merits of continuity.

The opposition have also said Lagos is not what government say it is, there is the ugly side

Many say Lagos is a dirty place, they say that it is one of the most inhabitable and unlivable cities in the world, but these are all misconceptions, the handiwork of enemies. My findings about Lagos are shocking, Lagos is a mini Nigeria because of the diversity of the people living in it, Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, Ibibio, Tiv, name them. You see high-rise buildings that are comparable to what you have in America, Japan, Dubai, and this is home to Nollywood. Lagos has built an economy that no other state in Nigeria can build in the next 100years.

Those that want to oust the present Governor and his Deputy are on a wild goose chase, they are political neophytes, and they are the real enemies of the state who run down the state because they want to occupy political positions.

Many a time people embark on pull it done exercise by exhuming the wrong side of history, sometime they come out with statistics and where they get these numbers, I don’t know. Yes because of the influx of people of varied backgrounds it is obvious that this has brought about innumerable challenges which like every other dynamic society are being fixed. So we shouldn’t focus on the problems of Lagos, but rather focus on the solutions, what it has achieved and what is capable of achieving.

Tell us why Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Hamzat deserve second term

If I tell you what this Governor has done in a space of three and half years, 32 pages of this your paper will not contain it. Look at roads. The roads commissioned under this administration include Aderemi Akeju Street, Okun Street, Femi Kufo Street; Flyover construction at Ikeja Under Bridge connecting the Agege Motor Road, the Alaba-Sure/Second Rainbow flyover, the same at Oyinbo, Lagos Ogun Boundary, network of 31 roads in Ojokoro, Aradagun-Epeme-Iworo-Ajido, and Shomolu road network; they are great road projects that demand commendations. In all, this administration in 2 years alone, according to what is public domain has constructed 51 roads and 632 others rehabilitated. The aim is to enhance effective traffic management and transportation.

Babajide Sanwo-Olu received his first baptism of fire immediately he took over the mantle of leadership in Lagos, with the twin problems of Covid-19 and endSARS which nearly crippled Lagos but you see the governor was equal to the task, he stood gem, and tackled the challenges with equanimity. A man like that deserves a second term. And you know, Sanwo-Olu couldn’t have done it alone, his deputy, Olufemi Hamzat is also a master strategist, so the duo deserve the votes of Lagosians in 2023, they are tested and trusted to keep the tempo in Lagos, politically, economically, socially and otherwise.
