What Primate Ayodele said about Nigeria’s economy, security in 2024 prophecies

There will never be a time when Primate Ayodele’s name will stop popping up in 2024 because of his prophecies about Nigeria’s economy and security, among other things in his New Year prophecies which were released on Friday, 22nd Of December, 2023.

When these prophecies were released, pro-government individuals saw them as threats and perceived Primate Ayodele as an opposition but at the moment, whatever perception it is they have about Primate Ayodele doesn’t matter, everything he has said especially about the economy and security have come to pass within the first month of the year.

On Economy, Primate Ayodele as captured by TRIBUNE NEWSPAPER said that a dollar will rise to N1,400 against the Naira and that the economy of Nigeria will be gloomy. He started by telling Nigerians that they will need to pray to God because this government needs help. He had earlier said that picking a wrong president will lead to a serious issue in the country and in all sincerity, that’s what we are experiencing. He went as far as saying the Cefa will become stronger than Naira and it has happened already.

He made it known that the economy will be fluctuating and that the palliatives will not add any positive impact to the sorry state of Nigeria’s economy. All of these have come to pass.

These were all he said below:

NIGERIANS need to be watchful, prayerful, and constantly appeal to God. The government needs help. If the government refuses to listen to God’s warning, it is bound to get into problems. The Bola Tinubu government is out of line. When I warned that voting for an All Progressive Congress federal government would lead to calamity and storm, many people felt I was talking rubbish. With all the economic formulas that the current government is postulating, it can’t get a correct model that will help the country. The World Bank and the IMF have killed Nigeria’s economy. If President Tinubu continues to listen to them, Nigeria will die. There is still payment of fuel subsidy. Tinubu cannot play with a subsidy. The complete removal of subsidies will result in complete economic trouble. We cannot buy fuel for N100 anymore. They are lies.

I foresee that under the current realities, the cefa will be stronger than the Naira. Also, the dollar will rise to N1400 and this will shake the economy so badly that some forces are hell-bent on frustrating the Tinubu-led Federal government but they will not be successful.

The economy will be fluctuating (rising and falling} to the extent that the Central Bank of Nigeria will cry out. The opposition will take several steps to fight the present government but they will miss their strategies. Government palliative is part of the things that are ruining the economy and has not added anything good to the economic revival. I foresee the Nigerian economy will fluctuate, it will be unstable and inflation rates will rise astronomically. The economic stability will crash down to very low levels even though the Central Bank of Nigeria {CBN} and the federal government will be working to find a way forward. I have not seen anything better, for the future looks gloomy.

In 2024, the government must reduce the price of food commodities; giving out palliatives is a fraud; it is a scam. There should be food markets in various states for genuine food palliatives. The price of a bag of rice can be reduced to N20,000.  We must also improve our road infrastructure. These would make Nigeria better. God still insists that Tinubu is his plan but not his purpose for Nigeria. The cost of living will become unbearable in 2024 if the government refuses to do what is needed. There will be a shortage of water. We are smiling and suffering. Prices in essential commodities will rise.

On Security, Primate Ayodele said insecurity will not end in the new year and adviced security agencies to be well equipped because of what was coming. He mentioned that the country must pray not to experience a religious crisis while also mentioning some states that will be affected more by insecurity.

Everything he said about insecurity is also coming to pass. There has never been a time when kidnappers operated everyday in Nigeria like they do now. January 2024 has seen a number of kidnap attacks that wasn’t even experienced for a whole year in 2023. It would also be recalled that Primate Ayodele mentioned in his prophecy that kidnapping will take a new dimension in 2024.

These were his words:

They cannot end insecurity in 2024. The police and other forces must be equipped. There will be another unguided missile attack that will kill civilians. When this repeats itself, people would insist that it was orchestrated. If there is an adjustment in the war against terror in Nigeria, then it will work. The government must create employment opportunities; this will help in the fight against insecurity. We must also look at the issue of state policing again. If there is food, infrastructure, and electricity, then things will pick up. A cashless policy will destroy Tinubu’s government. We must pray against religious and ethnic war in Nigeria. A prominent African president will escape a bomb attack. Let us pray that Customs officers will not be attacked. The head of the NIS might be changed. Some people will rubbish the efforts of the EFCC chairman. More insecurity in the North. Benue, Plateau, Abuja, Ondo, and Kogi will experience more insecurities.

This article isn’t meant to celebrate the fulfillment of these prophecies but to call the attention of the government to what is happening. The man of God has sent these warnings since December and one would have expected that the government works on them to prevent them from happening for the sake of Nigerians but what do we have here? Gross neglect by the government leading to more hardship in the land. It's sad.

LASU conducts training for newly admitted students on GNS, CBT enrollment

The Centre for General Nigerian Studies (CGNS) in collaboration with the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) on *Monday,  29th January 2024*, conducted a training session for newly admitted students at LASU. The training, which focused on GNS and Computer-Based Test (CBT) enrollment, took place at the Buba Marwa Auditorium, main campus, Ojo, Lagos.

Prof. M. O .B. Mohammed, the Director of CGNS, opened the event on behalf of Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, Vice Chancellor, Lagos State University, expressing gratitude to the facilitators and students who were in attendance at the training. Primate Ayodele to build houses for low-income earners in his church

The Leader Of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has announced that he is set to begin building houses for low-income earners who are members of his church.

It’s been on the pipeline for a while and all necessary arrangements have now been put in place to ensure it happens in order to reduce the burden of his members and largely, Nigerians.

This is also to commemorate his annual thanksgiving programme which normally begins in January. This year’s thanksgiving is taking a new dimension as it includes the grand opening of a new auditorium in Lagos. It will be a three-week long programme with several philanthropic activities lined up for church members, community members, the less privileged, widows, etc.

For Primate Ayodele, it is always a period to appreciate people who have rendered services to the country and make the nation a better place; This is why he visits police stations, LASTMA offices, Schools, FRSC offices, churches, to commemorate his annual thanksgiving programmes.

The three-week long programme has begun today with a visit to schools to offer prayers and financial assistance and of course, there are other activities lined up already, many of which would be unveiled as they happen.

According to the beneficiaries, they were able to purchase a bag of rice for N20,000, tubers of yam for N3,000, a bag of garri for N3,000, groceries and several other goods for ridiculous prices.

It is worthy of note that the man of God will be building a mosque to also commemorate his 2024 annual thanksgiving programme.

An open letter of apology to Nigerian prophet, Primate Elijah Ayodele

By Mutairu Zanu:

I would have loved to go into details but now isn’t the time for plenty of talk but a moment of reflection for me because I have to swallow the many words I spoke about Nigerian prophet, Primate Elijah Ayodele.

I’m not someone who has a soft spot for prophets and prophecy but I am wide-read and love knowledge, there is virtually no prophet in the country that I don’t watch and read their prophecies. My reason for doing this isn’t out of my love for them but spotting the bad ones as I know the good book said and I quote ‘Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, When the Lord commandeth it not?’ which means any prophet who says a thing that doesn’t come to pass didn’t hear from God, therefore, He or she is fake; that was my mission.

In my quest, I discovered several prophets but one of the most popular names that appear regularly on my radar is Primate Elijah Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church. Let me confess that I literally disliked this man because he prophesies almost everyday, talks on almost everything including football. He caused me great stress because I was always on his matter, searching every journal to know if God is truly interested in all these things Primate Ayodele talks about and out of my disdain for his ministry, I insulted him severally.

Among other prophets, I didn’t like mentioning or sharing his name on the social media because he appears to have a lot of followers online and offline and at the mention of his name for criticism, I face great opposition; some of my loyal followers defend him like they are his family members. They remind me of the things he has said that came to pass and his current prophecies, I cringe when I hear those things.

When he mentioned last year that the Naira will exchange for N1,400  against $1, I laughed it off because I believed in President Tinubu’s administration to save the economy but it has happened. When he mentioned that there will be insecurity in Abuja and that Kidnapping would be on the rise, I felt like eating him up because I know how secure the FCT is but now, the FCT is gradually becoming the hub of insecurity.

The height of it all was when he said former Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike and his successor, Sim Fubara would fight, it was never going to happen so I just know this man didn’t know what he was talking about till it finally happened before my very eyes. The election in Liberia too where he said George Weah will lose his second term bid and even went as far as saying the election will lead to a run-off, I was amazed at the accuracy. In Senegal, He had said that the ruling party will make sure opposition doesn’t exist and this was confirmed through the removal of the opposition leader, Ousmane Sonko from the candidates list.

I have written articles against Primate Ayodele several times and accused him of getting information from some people in high places but this accuracy is second to none, and it’s obvious that flesh and blood didn’t reveal all of these things to the man of God. There are more than 50 of his prophecies I can mention that have come to pass this year alone to my greatest surprise.

I disagreed with his prophecies but I realize I was wrong but now, I am willing to retrace my steps. I openly apologize to Primate Ayodele and would love to visit him personally to personally apologize and receive his blessings.

Primate Ayodele’s fulfilled prophecies on Venezuela, Naira fall, plane crash, other

Nigerian prophet, Primate Elijah Ayodele has continued to raise the standards of the prophetic ministry high with many fulfilled prophecies he has to his credit. There is virtually no day his prophecies don’t come to pass and they are not just within Nigeria alone but globally.

He is no doubt an enigma when it comes to prophecy, he doesn’t speak in parables or mince words, he says it as it is and just as he speaks, the words come to pass. At the moment, over 15,000 prophecies of Primate Ayodele have come to pass and they are still counting.

Some of his newly fulfilled prophecies include:

1 Venezuela: Venezuelan authorities have arrested 32 civilians and soldiers after a months-long investigation into their alleged part in a US-backed "conspiracy" to assassinate President Nicolas Maduro, the prosecutor's office said Monday.

In his prophecy book titled Warnings To The Nations ( 2022/2023 edition), Primate Ayodele warned the president of Venezuela to pray for his life. He also warned the country to pray against unexpected killings.

These were his words:

‘The president must pray for his life and the country must pray against unexpected killings’’

Just as he said, there was an attempt to kill the president but thankfully, it was prevented.

2 Naira Fall: Nigeria’s currency, Naira, has devalued so badly and this fulfills the prophecy of Primate Ayodele. The prophet has been talking about the issue of Naira devaluation for some years now. He also speaks about how much the naira will be exchanged for against the dollar and mysteriously, it comes to pass. The currency now exchanges for N1365/$. In his 2024 prophecies, Primate Ayodele mentioned that he foresees dollar exchanging for N1,400/$ despite the promises of the government to work on the exchange rate. It is not yet N1400 but in a few days, the naira may exchange for that amount. Apart from dollars, he spoke about the strength of naira against cefa and it has also come to pass.

‘’ I foresee that under the current realities, the cefa will be stronger than the Naira. Also, the dollar will rise to N1400 and this will shake the economy so badly that some forces are hell-bent on frustrating the Tinubu-led Federal government but they will not be successful.’’ (https://tribuneonlineng.com/primate-ayodele-to-nigerians-2024-is-gloomy-dollar-will-rise-to-n1400/)

3 Russian plane crash: A large Russian military transport plane crashed on Wednesday near the border with Ukraine, killing everyone onboard, the Russian Defense Ministry said, accusing Ukraine of shooting down the plane with missiles.

In his 90-page 2024 prophecies which were released on Friday, 22nd Of December, 2024, Primate Ayodele noted categorically on page 40 that a Russian aircraft will crash in the course of the year. Little did anyone know it would happen so soon.

These were his words

‘’ The spirit of God says a Russian plane will crash.’’

4 Senegal: Senegal's Constitutional Council on Saturday published a final list of 20 candidates for the February 25 presidential election that excludes jailed opposition leader Ousmane Sonko and Karim Wade, the son of former president Abdoulaye Wade.

Primate Ayodele in his 2024 prophecies warned Sonko to be careful of being rigged out of the election. Sadly, the prophecy has been fulfilled.

‘’In Senegal, If Sonko isn’t guarded; he will be rigged out of the election. The election will shake the nation of Senegal and will cause Chaos if not well handled. There will be also be Election fraud.’’

Primate Ayodele’s 2024 prophecies on Ogun Speaker, Plateau crisis come to pass

It’s just the first month in 2024 but Nigerian prophet, Primate Elijah Ayodele has recorded a handful of fulfilled prophecies from his revelations for the new year which he released on Friday, 22nd of December, 2023.

Although, this isn’t a strange happening; Primate Ayodele has nothing less than 15,000 prophecies that have been fulfilled, all Glory to God almighty.

According to a release, he is the only prophet who has the largest number of released and fulfilled prophecies and this is because his prophecies come to pass mostly immediately he shares them.

The statement disclosed that Ayodele releases prophecies almost every day and yearly, adding that his prophecies for the New Year runs to about 90-pages.

Ayodele has recorded a good number of 2024 prophecies that have come to pass and some of them include the Impeachment of Ogun Speaker: The speaker of Ogun state house of assembly, Kunle Oluomo was impeached. Eighteen of the 26 members of the State Assembly voted for Oluomo’s impeachment at plenary session on Tuesday January 23. Oluomo was impeached for alleged embezzlement of funds, highhandedness and related offences.

Primate Ayodele in his 90-page prophecy for 2024 made it known on Page 17 that he foresees the removal of some honourable speakers of some state house of assembly. He called for prayers to avert this occurrence.

These were his words: '’I foresee that the Upper Legislative house and the Senate will lose a prominent member and also the House of Representative. Let us commit the current members of the Senate and members of the States House of Assembly into prayers against sudden death. Let us pray not to witness the removal from office of some Honourable Speakers. I foresee that not all the Senators in the current session will finish their terms in office.’

On Plateau Crisis, he that there seems to be a religious crisis in Plateau state at the moment and this has led to the governor declaring a 24-hour curfew. The Church of Christ In Nations (COCIN) was set ablaze in the area. It has been learnt that rampaging armed men are currently torching church buildings and attacking those perceived to be Christians in Mangu.

Still in his 2024 prophecies, Primate Ayodele asked the country to pray against ethnic and religious crises.

‘’Let us pray against ethnic and religious crises in Nigeria. Let us pray so that no Police station will be set ablaze. Let us rebuke what can cause the beheading of any Policeman even as I foresee that an attack on a Military Base is imminent.’’ (Page 23)

Thousands of Emmanuel TV fans move away joyfully from DSTV to HD decoders.

In a dramatic twist reminiscence of mass protests, thousands of Emmanuel TV fans, the broadcasting arm of Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) are moving away with enthusiasm from the DSTV cable platform to Free to Air (FTA) Decoder.

This followed the delisting of the channel on the 17th January this year from its platform on an unsubstantiated allegation which viewers have described as "flimsy and spurious".

Our investigations show that DSTV wrote to SCOAN alleging that viewers of Emmanuel TV were no longer strong enough for it to retain the Christian channel on its stable. But SCOAN disagreed with the DSTV's allegation and made a request for an empirical proof which DSTV failed to provide and still went ahead to remove the channel in what looked like a premeditated decision.

Our investigations also show that Emmanuel TV before now had been under pressure and attack for "airing offensive broadcasts against the mental health of some people in the world". These so-called offended people are those in the categories of LGTBQ people who manifested and received deliverance during SCOAN's services. This obviously is the crux of the matter as the church has no control over whom the Holy Spirit would arrest during its church services.

In Lagos, Nigeria, Mr. Mohammed Rasak, a technician has been experiencing a boom in his business. He stated how occupied he had been in the last few days installing HD Decoders for people.  "I was wondering why so many people are buying HD Decoders not until these clients told me it was because of Emmanuel TV. Personally I must confess I am a Muslim but DSTV has really fumbled by removing Emmanuel TV because we all love the channel and TBJoshua as a Christian  Pastor that stands out in the world. We all knew him and saw his lifestyle; the great spiritual and philanthropic activities that were all transparent to see. His life was practical, even we Muslims love him because of his outstanding legacies in body soul and spirit. Nobody can tell us nonsense about him. It's a good season for my business".

Consequently, SCOAN in its Sunday service had announced its migration from DSTV, GOTV and all other pay cable platforms   asking all Emmanuel TV viewers across the globe to follow suit to Free To Air FTA  High Definition HD Decoder, Apple TV, FireTV stick, Roku TV, Google TV all to be downloaded on the Apple Store and Google Play where "accessing Emmanuel TV is about to become more versatile, more convenient and more reliable".

That was the command and it has gone like a bush fire among its members and lovers of Emmanuel TV.

A career diplomat who does not want his name in print has this to say:

"I really don't have facts on the matter but my immediate thought from the smokes was that it has to do with the same issue YouTube frowned at which is talking about homosexuality.  The west is very intolerant of any criticism of the demonic practice. DSTV may actually be fighting a proxy war for the west" he said.

The migration from DSTV family is now 'operation totality'. From the South to North and East to West especially in the African continent where we have tried to feel the pulse of the people.

Mrs okuwengu Nancy a public affairs guru in East Africa has this to say: "I understand that being with DSTV is not at all a cost effective venture because it is ridiculously expensive for both the church and users.  I also noticed from various calls made to me by Kenyans and Nations around that they too will no longer use DSTV because they mainly needed it for Emmanuel TV. The only thing they will miss in DSTV is football but other streaming services like Netflix are cheaper and give equally good entertainment like movies. People are moving to free to air decoders".

Mr. Nematandam Kirstan, a South African tycoon has this to say:

"The biggest looser is DSTV. With  the latest technical innovations we can watch Emmanuel TV in various platforms. Your mobile phone creates lots of platforms for you. Many are now moving to watch Emmanuel TV on Free to Air channel.

What happened to the era of the print media? You can now access any newspaper on your mobile. AI is now giving challenges to institutions of higher learning. Stock markets are running Helter skelter because AI assists traders to trade with ease. Pay TV will soon run out of subscribers.

"Of course ours could also be a spiritual thing but it's too late now. God has created more platforms for Emmanuel TV.

Emmanuel TV will increase its viewership because of the Free to Air Decoders, social media etc. Ordinary people who could not afford DSTV can now enjoy the blessings of Emmanuel TV ".

To Hillary Njau in Tanzania: DSTV attack on Emmanuel TV is actually a blessing in disguise. It has created more awareness for it and  many people including fresh ones are all moving to Free to Air Decoders because of Emmanuel TV".

Mr. Kabango from Malawi was visibly angry with the DSTV's decision:

"Well, the motive behind the whole movie does not make sense to me. Look here, how can praying for someone who freely decided to come to church and ask for God’s help with same-sex attraction issues now be classified as hate speech?

"Are people forced to go to church? No! Are people pressed to be delivered? No! So, why make a decision which will affect millions of people who bank on the channel for prayers on such a premise? Where I stay, about 30 people gather in one house to watch prayers on Sunday. Closing the channel means these people would not be able to watch prayers just because of someone who feels his/her right has been violated. Dstv is not fair by its autocratic decision but thank God for free to air decoder now available".

To Winnie Nations, a media practitioner in East Africa:

"It's anachronistic for DSTV to delist Emmanuel TV especially now in the light of the unacceptable BBC poor movies called investigative journalism. Their objective is to leave Emmanuel TV viewers hanging and possibly get them scattered so that if possible they won't hear of the church again. But God is greater than them all. The gate of hell shall not prevail. We understand their deceits because God has given us grace to see beyond their conspiracies.  Emmanuel TV is moving higher with free to air Decoders that people are now trooping to have"

Mr. Orji Onyekwere in Lagos has this to say in his reaction: "It's really surprising Knowing that Emmanuel TV has a lot of followers all over the world and that also means more subscription for the DStv and GOtv channels.

However, you cannot remove the role of the imperialist, I mean the world powers; who are now doing everything to turn the Bible upside down by encouraging gay practice and doing everything to make sure the whole world accepts that misnomer.  So, by yanking Emmanuel TV off the DStv and GOtv channels, they are  determined to fight the church through all means.

They know how powerful Emmanuel TV is and the lives the channel have touched and is still touching but nobody can fight God.

"Going on free to air platforms will also afford a lot of the faithful that cannot subscribe to the exorbitant price of DStv and GOtv bouquets to get a more profitable alternative that will cost them nothing.

"So, it's all the pay Tv platforms that are losing this time and not Emmanuel TV or Synagogue Church Of All Nations SCOAN".

Mr. Abraham Showunmi, a Forensic Chartered Accountants was completely upset by the erratic decision of DSTV against Emmanuel TV:

"I have four DSTV decoders for my different outfits. They called me for a promotional offer.

I declined the offer for the sole reason that they removed Emmanuel tv from their decoder.

They promised to get back to me. I told them that it's not necessary because I will never subscribe to them again.

From this charade of both BBC and DSTV, I can see that the time for our church's  promotion has come with all these trials of faith and persecutions. The Lord is our strength.

Love is our weapon against our enemies. Our battle is the Lord's" he stated.

From all indications, notwithstanding the DSTV's bullets against Emmanuel TV, the SCOAN's Christian channel is waxing stronger as more platforms are now available for its lovers.

Primate Ayodele to hold second phase of palliative market on February 14

The Leader Of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has announced plans to hold the second phase of his palliative market on Wednesday, 14th Of February, 2024 In Lagos.

This is to further cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal and to reduce the impact of economic hardship on Nigerians.

It is also in fulfillment of his promise to hold a second edition after the maiden edition held on Sunday, 26th Of November, 2023 with over 10,000 beneficiaries. At the maiden edition, bags of rice, beans, garri were sold for less than N20,000, tubers of yam, Indomie, groceries were also sold for ridiculous prices.

Like the maiden edition, the second phase of the palliative market will be featuring more items that will be sold for very ridiculous prices. Items like rice, beans, Poundo yam, clothing materials, bread, indomie, and many more.

While speaking on the reason behind his decision to come up with a palliative market during the maiden edition, Primate Ayodele mentioned that apart from the fact that he is contributing his quota to the community, He is teaching the government how to properly help the people.

‘’I am doing this because the government has missed it. I am contributing my quota to society so I can help the government do their job. If they don’t know how to do it, we will teach them how to do it. This is a model for the government to follow. There is serious hunger in the land and if the government can reduce it to a certain level, economic hardship will reduce.’’

Also, beneficiaries of the maiden edition, some who are not even church members, expressed gratitude to Primate Ayodele for doing so much for the less privileged in the society.

One of them testified to Primate Ayodele’s benevolent acts for widows and the needy. She also revealed that she got a full bag of rice for N20,000.

‘’I thank God for Primate Ayodele, he has been helping us. He helped the widows and people that have nothing to eat. I can eat with my children with a full bag of rice I got for N20,000 .’

Another beneficiary explained how packs of provision, five litres of vegetable oil, and a bag of beans was sold for N3,000 each.

‘’I don’t know how to say it but I am just amazed. I came here and saw this in a way I haven’t seen before. You could get a half bag of garri for just N1,000, a pack of provisions for N3,000, A 5 litres vegetable oil for N3,000 and I got beans as well for N3,000. This is a full bag of rice I got for just N20,000. INRI is the best.’’

Truly, the palliative market is another dimension; it’s a practical miracle in addition to everything Primate Ayodele has been doing. He is also the first and only man of God to have done this in recent times.

Primate Ayodele set to build multi-million Naira Mosque in Lagos

After much consultation, the Leader Of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Ayodele has announced that he is set to build a multi-million naira mosque in Lagos.

This announcement was made available to the press in a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin.

Primate Ayodele who initially spoke about his plans for the mosque in December made it known that the reason behind his decision isn’t for self-glorification but to eliminate religion and embrace humanity.

The renowned prophet explained that Jesus Christ didn’t preach religion but humanity therefore; it doesn’t matter whether one is a Christian or Muslim, We are first human before anything else.

Primate Ayodele further noted that being a religious fanatic will not make room for anyone in heaven but one’s contribution to humanity therefore, co-existing, cohabiting and showing love  to everyone regardless of the differences is the greatest religion.

He also made it known that the Mosque will be without his interference because he will be handing it over to Muslim leaders after completion.

‘’ I believe there is no religion in Heaven, there is nothing like Christian heaven or Muslim heaven. Religion was created by humans and it has been a source of great divide among humans. I don’t know the reason behind religion but it has done more harm than good to humanity.’’

‘’My decision to build a mosque is not for self-glorification but to eliminate religion and embrace humanity. Jesus Christ never preached religion, He taught us to show love to people and never asked for the religion of anyone before he healed them. Jesus Christ is my model and since he didn’t preach religion, it’s best that I follow HIM whom I serve. I am not a religious fanatic because it won’t take me to heaven. I believe co-existing, cohabiting and showing love to everyone is the greatest religion anyone can adopt.’’

‘’I have done wide consultation, I have spoken with leaders from the Muslim communities about my decision to build a massive mosque and their responses were enormously encouraging. I will build the mosque and hand it over to the Muslim leaders. Also, I will have no interference whatsoever in its operation’’

Primate Ayodele’s understanding about religion has never been about division, He has always shared that showing love to everyone is the greatest religion anyone can have. There are several Muslims that worship in his church; they are even allowed to wear their hijabs into the church premises. During fasting period, it is a tradition of Primate Ayodele to give provisions, live chickens, and food items to the Muslim community in his environment. Therefore, building a mosque is a step further to breaking the shackles of religion.

How Primate Ayodele foretold Ibadan explosion in 2024 prophecies

There was tragedy in Ibadan yesterday following an explosion that claimed the lives of people and injured several people. Properties worth millions of naira were also lost yesterday as a result of the mysterious explosion.

At first, the cause of the explosion could not be ascertained but the governor who later addressed the press made it known that it was caused by explosives stored by illegal miners occupying one of the houses in Bodija area of Oyo state.

“Preliminary investigations by the security agencies revealed that illegal miners occupying one of the houses in Bodija had stored explosive devices there which caused the blast. The investigations are ongoing. All those found culpable for this will be brought to book.’’

This explosion, though unfortunate, fulfilled the prophecy of Primate Ayodele about Oyo state and strange happenings in the first 150 days included in the prophet’s 2024 prophecies.

Primate Ayodele in the 90-page prophecies mentioned Oyo as part of the states that should be careful of security issues in the New Year. It is not out of point to note that the explosion that took place and the circumstances that led to it shows that there is no adequate security of life and property in the state.

These were his words

‘’Let us be watchful about security challenges in the following states – Imo, Rivers, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, Katsina, Sokoto, Ebonyi, Plateau, Lagos and Ogun.’’

Also, when talking about the beginning of the year, the man of God mentioned that he saw people crying within the first 150 days of the year. He revealed that the days will not be palatable for everyone as he foresees killings, bombings, explosions and different unfortunate issues happening across the country. He urged the people to pray for God’s divine mercy.

These were his words

‘’2024, I foresee that the first 150days from the beginning of the year will not be palatable for all. I foresee killings, bombings, explosions, demolitions, so many people crying, accidents and fire outbreaks. The spirit of God says we must commit everything into the hands of God for divine mercy’’

Just as he said, today is just the 17th day of the year but a lot has happened already. The year started with a kidnapping spree, fire incidents, killings of people and yesterday, the explosion as Primate Ayodele had revealed. Indeed, people are crying in most places in the country.

Jazz Nite: Rotary Club of Ikoyi sensitizes Nigerians on breast cancer, raises fund

It was the first of its kind in Nigeria as one of the foremost clubs; the Rotary Club of Ikoyi deployed Jazz music to create awareness on the dangers of breast cancer and importance of its early detection.

The event termed Jazz Nite which took place at the popular Adenuga Centre, Alliance Francaise, Ikoyi, Lagos State on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, was graced by crème de la crème in District 9110 of Rotary International comprising Lagos and Ogun States, and other men and women of substance in Nigeria were present also.

With the theme of creating Hope in the world Rotary International in 2024, has consistently brought succor to humanity through their various philanthropic and charity interventions in education, environment, maternal and child health, disease detection and treatment, among others.

For Rotary Club of Ikoyi, their Star Project, the breast screening and awareness, is yet another landmark project which is even very dear to the heart of their amiable and indefatigable President, Rotarian Funsho Gbogboade, as she pursues the project with passion within the club’s jurisdiction of Ikoyi/Obalande community.

The Jazz Nite was also organized to bring people of like mind together under the atmosphere of conviviality made easy by Jazz renditions to sensitise them on the dangers of breast cancer and the need to donate their widow’s mite so that the club would be able to continue its star project of offering free breast cancer screening in the area.

The elegant, ebony, waist twisting Yinka Davis with her Jazz Band electrified the Alliance Francaise entertainment theatre, even as the club recognised and presented awards to personalities within and outside the Rotary club, who have contributed or about to contribute significantly to the Foundation.

Rotarian Funsho Gbogboade, the President, Rotary Club of Ikoyi, speaking on the purpose of the Jazz Nite said it was designed to enlighten people about Rotary Club and to also solicit for funds to be able to carry out their star project, the breast screening. “We are here for the main purpose of awareness and support for Rotary Foundation. That is very very key to us, not only that, we are also here to enlighten our friends because we know that they are givers and supporters of Rotary, and as they are here we want them to understand what we do in Rotary.  In Rotary we have seven areas of focus, but the main star project of this year which falls under disease prevention and treatment is breast screening.

“We are trusting that after this programme we will be able to be well equipped so that we can be in partnership with LCDA Obalende and then people can benefit by coming there to have their breasts screened so as to detect early whatever ailment or lumps they might have. We have done so many projects but we realise that this particular project is a key factor and we have decided to blow it up, we have decided to help society, we have decided to give the grassroots support that they would appreciate,” Gbogboade stated.

On his part, Jide Akeredolu, Chairman, Rotary Foundation, District 9110, who was the speaker on the night, disclosed that they were at the event to support what Rotary Club of Ikoyi was doing. “We are here in partnership with the Rotary Club of Ikoyi who are presenting their project. Rotarians and friends of Rotarians come together to try and make donations in order that this project is done in the community where they would benefit from it. It is also to promote that spirit of giving, the spirit of charitable giving, which is the backbone of what we do in Rotary. Most of the funds that we use, the projects we do in Rotary are from voluntary donations from Rotarians and friends of Rotary that share the ideals that we profess in Rotary, and they make voluntary contributions and we are able to muster those funds to do projects both locally and worldwide to help in various areas of focus, in education, in health, maternal and child health, protection of the environment, and many other areas where Rotary operates.”

Speaking on what he called levels of giving, he said that people should imbibe the spirit of charitable giving. “People should imbibe the spirit of charitable giving, it fits very well into the most of the major religions we have on earth for now, Islam, Christianity, Judaism, and many other religions. Charitable giving is the backbone of most cultures and that is what we are highlighting by mentioning the areas where charitable giving is a cardinal feature in their religions.”

Akeredolu said Rotary International has consistently maintained 4Star rating as organized by Charity Navigator which grades Charity. “There are so many Charities all over the world, thousands and thousands of them and many people who want to give are confused as to who to give to because you don’t know how those charities are run. We are all privy to many badly run charities especially in Nigeria. When you give donations and it ends up in the pockets of those who run those charities, and if you give to some religious organisations it may end up in buying private jets for the owners of those churches. Charity Navigator is there to guide the people who have the will to give but they want to be sure that what they are giving are directed to what they wanted to do. And they grade charities by the number of stars, one star, two stars, three stars and 4 stars which is the maximum, and it is good news that for the last 15 years consecutively the Rotary Foundation has been getting the maximum four stars rating for these 15 years without break.

“To tell you how difficult it is to get the four star rating, I give you the example of American Red Cross, the American Red Cross has been able to get the three star rating, as big and well organized as they are, they have not gotten to that zenith, but Rotary Foundation has been at that zenith for 15 continuous years. That is to tell you that if you contribute to Rotary Foundation your funds would be managed exactly for the purpose that you meant it for,” he asserted.

He admitted that Ikoyi Rotary is one of the biggest clubs in the district. “Ikoyi Rotary is one of the biggest clubs we have in our District, and they have been doing wonderfully well in projects all around the community. I am not surprised that they have chosen the very important area, breast cancer as area of focus this year and, the impact they will have in reducing the incidence and death rate from breast cancer will go a long way in making an impact in their community where they are located.”

Rotarian (Dr) Austin Irabor, the Immediate Past President, Rotary Club of Ikoyi, speaking on the performance of his successor said, she is doing wonderfully well, as I always say, Rotary has the best succession plan in terms of corporate governance, so in whatever we are doing we have a succession plan, even the person who is going to take over from Rotarian Gbogboade is already known, so we have time to work together as a team and plan the year ahead of time. So definitely she has made a great impact diligently and well dedicated to the service of humanity, so I am quite happy with her hard work and commitment.

Irabor spoke on the significance of the use of Jazz in creating awareness. “Jazz is music that is loved all over the world, you can’t dislike Jazz, so we chose Jazz, we could have chosen other genre like Afrobeat, but we said okay Jazz cut across, so those with like minds will like to appreciate the music of Jazz, and Rotarians we like good thinks. That is why we chose to have the Jazz Nite.”

District Secretary, Tayo Adelaja, who represented the District Governor, Rotarian Ifeyinwa Ejezie said, “We are here today to spend this evening of Jazz with the Rotary Club of Ikoyi, the club is using Jazz to create awareness for Rotary Foundation, and to raise funds for Rotary Foundation. Imagine what Jazz does to mental health of any human being, it is massive and it goes a long way to refresh you.”

He said Rotary has seven areas of focus where it concentrates energy in touching the lives of people. “We have basic education and literacy, environment, conflict resolution, maternal and child health, and so on, so specifically the Rotary Club of Ikoyi has chosen disease prevention and treatment as their own area of focus for this year as their star project and going further down within disease prevention they have chosen to do breast cancer awareness, and from what we saw in their documentary, they have done about two exercises of breast cancer where over 500 women have been screened for breast cancer, and according to scientists and medical personnel, early detection of breast cancer should not kill.

“And if you go to the western world, the advanced countries of the world, I am sure nobody dies of things like this any longer because it is detected early and it can be treated. So I therefore, enjoin all well-meaning Nigerians and friends of Rotary to support the Rotary Club of Ikoyi and donate generously so that the work of service would have been carried on till eternity,” he stated.

Some of the personalities honoured during the Jazz Nite include Chief M.I. Okoro; Council Manager, Engineer Thomson, Chairman Hon. Fuad Atanda Lawal; Council Treasurer, Alhaja. Taofeekat Omolara Oshikoya,

Hon. Gbolahan Yishawu represented by Lady Shola Adesina; Iru Chairman, Honorable Rashidat Adu and Dr. Akintayo, LCDA, Ikoyi/Obalende.

Nigeria needs moral leaders, patriots - Rev Kasali

It was a moment to speak truth to power recently, when the media engaged the church on the post-election mood of the nation and how to get them move away from the socio-cultural and socio-economic strain caused by the last election circle.

“Elections are very important to Nigerians today. Nigerians are being more active and involved in the process to choosing leaders to that point of leadership because of the state of the economy and security,” Yomi Kasali, senior pastor, Foundation of Truth Assembly (FOTA), said during the end of year forum of the Association of Christian Correspondents of Nigeria (ACCoN), held at the Vineyard Christian Ministry, Lagos.

With the theme, ‘Sustaining Peace and Unity in Nigeria in the Post-Election Era: Role of the Church and the Media’, Kasali said that in the last 24 years, Nigeria has witness successive transitions of government from one administration to another; however, not much can be said about the electoral process both at the state and federal level.

According to him, the state of the economy and insecurity has been the two major factors that stimulate the interest of Nigerians in arriving at their electoral choices. “Really, health should be, education should be pivotal, but if I have money I will be able to perform and afford good education,” he said.

He said further that politicians who understand the dynamics usually promise to put money in the people’s pocket, with assurance of safeguarding their lives. “In our Nigeria today, there are two things that are important – first is the state of the economy (personal economy, which is my pocket) and security”.

According to him, both the church and the media have roles to play in both the pre and post-election process. He said further that the church and the media have to be involved in the education process on how to prepare in every election circle, and how to respond to election outcomes either as winners or losers. “

Speaking on how to get Nigeria working again after the strained socio-political atmosphere on the back of the 2023 general elections, Kasali said that Nigeria needs patriots, and not politicians. According to him, patriots build a nation not politicians.

“Nigeria in post-election needs moral leaders. These country needs two things for our nation to get better – first Nigeria needs moral leaders; second, Nigeria needs patriots,” Kasali said.

According to him, Nigeria will not get better by looking to politicians for solutions to national issues; rather she must look for patriots who are detribalised, with some sense of moral uprightness. “Politicians know we have been bought over – what I am simply saying is that we are all involved. We lack moral leaders in Nigeria,” he said.

He is of the view that people can effect change, especially for the cause of the people without holding political offices. “Christian journalists must become moral leaders. When we have patriots in politics, it’s better. But, when we have politicians forming patriots, it’s terrible. Because basically politicians build parties for themselves; patriots build nations – that is why it’s easier for patriots to work with the winning side even when they lose,” Kasali said.

Kasali sees the Church as change agent

Kasali disclosed that about 12 years ago while he was working on a project tagged, ‘Church for change’, it was discovered that Nigeria has less than 1, 800 active politicians in electoral (political) offices both at the states and federal level.

According to him, the idea of the project was to leverage the church as moral agents to drive change in the polity. “1, 800 people should not hold 200 million Nigerians to ransom,” he said. He said further that less than 2000 people should not carry the responsibilities and the future of the entire nation on their shoulders.

He disclosed that the plan behind the project then was to meet with about 1000 of the politicians holding political offices as ‘Church for Change’ and as Christians to speak directly as moral institution, leveraging moral and persuasive force for social transformation.

According to him, the church for change project was birthed by the need to create a progressive change agenda that people can see and measure tangibly.

“Some of us run churches with 8000 members – if you look at 2000 people, we should be able to communicate, speak to these 2000 people. Those that you and I through the ballot box put into offices to run the affairs of the state and federal government,” Kasali said.

According to him, the church is a moral institution must speak truth to power, and must be non-partisan. He said further that the church is not a business enterprise, hence, the need to maintain its non-partisan nature by avoiding using the pulpit for partisan activities.

However, speaking on the role of the media in sustaining the peace in the post-election era, Kasali said that the media must maintain a non-partisan position, and must understand that the people are their employers; not the publishers or owners of the various media platforms

“A partisan media is a corrupt media. Christian journalists must see themselves as moral agents, and must understand that the people are their employers,” Kasali said.

Joseph Ojo, the presiding archbishop of Calvary Kingdom Church (CKC), quoted from Genesis; “The ark rested on the seventh month; on the seventh day of the seventh month upon the Mount Ararat”. According to him, the Tinubu administration will be celebrating seven months in office by December 29.

He prayed that the ark of Nigeria will begin to rest on the solid rock. According to him, the foundation of the current administration will be solid enough to withstand all the political floods ahead of it, and that it will not get carried away by the floods.

Ojo, who was represented by Best Ojo, the national overseer of CKC, said that God is raising men in journalism, in the church that will always come with the olive leaf. “The dove signifies the Holy Spirit, and the olive leaf signifies the truth. The truth is that our waters will abate in this country,” he said.

According to him, the church has a critical to play in Nigeria’s socio-political and socio-economic narrative. He said that the church must appear to be blameless in all circumstances, and that church leaders and journalists will be blameless in carrying out their day-to-day activities.

According to Bishop Robertson, former PFN chairman, Bauchi, the question left for the Nigerian state to answer is about what happen to the perpetuators of the Sokoto killing; and that if the question is left unanswered, it means there is a problem in Nigeria.

He said further that Rhoda Jatau was not meant to have been jailed, and that whoever jailed her should have been the first person CAN should have gone after to ensure that justice is served. “And, if that is not done it means we are just hypocrites”.

According to him, Jatau was bold enough to speak up when Christian leaders in the country were afraid to speak.
