Articulated Agenda 2019 set to welcome Atiku to Lagos

Success Damian:
Lagos State Coordinator for Articulated Agenda 2019, a pressure group for Atiku Abubakar Presidency, Bishop Victor David Enweruezo, has stated that preparations are on top gear to welcome the Presidential aspirant to Lagos.

Enwereuzo said “Atiku Abubakar has been tested, he has been in government, he has been a genuine business man, who has created jobs for well-meaning Nigerians, and also he has promised restructuring.”

The Coordinator was speaking to the media after a meeting of the group in Lagos on Saturday.

He disclosed that Restructuring is what Nigerians are clamouring for. In his words “Restructuring is the only thing Nigerians need from anybody that should be the president so that we can all go back home and develop our states and then create jobs, have education, bring in expertise, professionals, and develop; and stop all these intimidations going on in the country.

“We all go abroad to buy various vehicles including Tokumbo, but here we have seen graduates, and undergraduates who have managed to manufacture airplane, vehicles; if we have true federalism, the governors of each state would support such people. With all these the rest of the world will be coming here to see our vision and to see what we are capable of doing,”

On preparations to host Atiku he said “We are creating awareness, and I am so glad that various interest groups in Lagos, market associations, professionals are with us, but not just creating awareness for Atiku to be welcomed to Lagos, but also creating awareness on people getting their PVCs which is the right they have as citizens to vote in Atiku and to vote out the present administration.

“We want to welcome him in a grand style, and we hope this will welcome other times that we are looking forward to, we want to appreciate him for what he has been doing. We want to tell the people, this is the man that will deliver Nigeria, this is the man, prepare to meet with him.”

He said Atiku’s coming to Lagos is not a hidden agenda.

Bishop David said “Atiku is not coming with arms and ammunition, however, my appeal is that Lagosians should have foresight, it is an issue that affects every well-meaning Nigerian, and as such Lagosians should welcome him with open arms, we don’t want those that will cause nuisance, we don’t want thugs”

Enwereuzo stated the Articulated Agenda is working closely with PDP, saying the group has had in audience PDP ward leaders who have recognized and associated with them.

According to him Articulated Agenda 2019 as a vision was founded by Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu, having seen the political ineptitude of the present Government, designed the pressure group to persuade the former Vice President, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar, “and asked him to vie for the post of Presidency of Nigeria.

We have 36 states coordinators in the Federation, this is a pressure group to make sure we are able to persuade people, convince people to get their PVCs; that is our first agenda, and also for the people to see the reason why Atiku should come on board.”
