Pastor Muoka calls for release of Nnamdi Kanu, as Gowon declares The Lord’s Chosen Church beacon of hope

The General Overseer of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, has called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to release Nnamdi Kanu, Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Pastor Muoka who made the call on Sunday, at the headquarters of the church at Ijesha, Lagos State, at the two-day power-packed international crusade of the church which has the theme, ‘God That Does What No Man Can Do,’ said that if Kanu is released peace will return to the region.

Muoka stated “I want to let you know, for peace to reign, for us to have peace in that part of the nation, because there is a lot of killings, a lot of calamities as a result of this situation, I want to appeal, and plead passionately that God almighty will touch the Federal Government to release him. We are pleading that God almighty will touch them to release him, so that we will have peace in the land, for progress and unity. So I want to personally plead that by the grace of God that that should be done so that we can have peace in the east.”

On Christian persecution in Africa, he said “All I want to let you know is that persecution helps even to further the gospel, persecution is a necessity for the church and God has made it that all that shall live a godly life in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. So persecution is inevitable unless you are not ready to live a godly life, if you are ready to live a godly life God allows it and in time of persecution the gospel spreads more than when there is no persecution.”

On the issue of collapsed bridge at Ijesha bus-stop, a very strategic bridge leading to the Lords Chosen Headquarters, he said “That particular footbridge is a strategic one because more people cross through it to go to FESTAC, Ijesha, and here also we have our church and many other churches. Right now so many lives are being lost. We are pleading with the Federal Government to please come to our aid and put the bridge in order so that the lives of Nigerians using that problematic, broken bridge can be saved.”

He added that on the part of the church they would continue to pray for the Government. “We will continue to pray for the government, we will continue to pray for our nation and we would pray for our rulers. The duty of our rulers is to take care of us, so the bridge should be taken care of.”

Further he advised Nigerians, he said, “Nigerians should draw close to God, Nigerians should fear God; Nigerians should know that it is only God that can bring peace and unity and progress, let the whole Nigeria fear God and live their lives according to the will of God. Let them be born again and be saved, and be ready for the rapture because Jesus is coming very soon, let them give their lives to Jesus Christ and they shall be saved, and we shall make heaven at last, that is my wish and that is my prayer and my preaching that all souls should be saved.”

Former Head of State of Nigeria, General Yakubu Gowon who was represented by Pastor Samuel Sanusi, Secretary General, Bible Society of Nigeria said, “I received with joy the gracious invitation to participate as a special guest in the two-day power packed international programme, titled ‘God that does what man cannot do’. First and foremost I will like to express my profound gratitude to Pastor and Pastor Mrs Lazarus Muoka, the Founder/General Overseer of this large, vibrant spirit-filled assembly.

“The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival church is a vibrant ministry, inspired by the Holy Spirit to bring the knowledge of salvation to all the kings and their subjects, the masters and their servants, to the rulers and all that are being ruled all over the world, with a mandate to win millions of souls for Christ, has been a beacon of hope, spiritual enlightenment and exemplary service for our nation. It is my sincere belief that your dedication, commitment and unwavering faith have touched countless lives and I am inspired by your relentless pursuit of spreading God’s divine message,” he said.
